2018 was a very hot and dry vintage. It brought the earliest ever harvest. We picked the grapes in Barakonyi on 30 August…. and thanks to the early harvest we managed to preserve the acidity and make a beautifully balanced wine.
The wine fermented spontaneously with its own yeasts in the barrel.
Rich in flavours, it is complex with an extremely long finish. Primarily mineral notes dominate at the end of the sip. Chamomile and linden flower honey appear in the nose.
Suitable for longer bottle aging. Can be enjoyed now but will be truly beautiful in 2 to 3 years’ time!
Our experience shows it can be matured for 8 to 10 years in the bottle.
