World Heritage Wine Museum
The World Heritage Wine Museum opened its doors in the only World Heritage wine region in Hungary in 2015. It provides insight into the traditional values and assets of the region as well as terroirs around the world. And all with the newest inventions of the age…
A cornerstone of the Tokaj Cultural Quarter, the former Serház was converted into the World Heritage Wine Museum to bring the history of World Heritage wine regions, their culture and of course their wines closer to visitors. Alongside the Tokaji Wine Region there are “tasters” of the uniqueness of the terroirs of Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Switzerland.
In the imposing 2000m2, four-storey building, respect for traditions and innovative solutions that meet current expectations are organically connected. Visitors can experience the interactive exhibition in which they roam around the Tokaj Wine Region on foot, by bike and car, or even by airship, without even having to leave the building.
The merger of the World Heritage Wine Museum and the Tokaj Museum holds special adventures. Come and try it out in person!
